Endodontic Treatment refers to a dental procedure aimed at treating the inner part of the tooth, known as the dental pulp. This treatment is commonly referred to as a root canal treatment. During an endodontic treatment, the diseased or damaged dental pulp is removed, the root canal system is cleaned, disinfected, and then sealed to prevent further infection. The goal of endodontic treatment is to save the natural tooth and alleviate pain or discomfort caused by pulp inflammation or infection.
